Santa Monica, Calif.—Once again, the City of Santa Monica partnered with Paragon Steel to fabricate another unique structure. This structure is located in the first city-built park to open in 24 years, Airport Park. Coined as "acres of new fun" the 8.3 acre park features playing fields, an off-leash dog area, restrooms, picnic areas and a playground for children.
Paragon Steel supplied all the custom fabricated structural steel that surrounds this building. There are complex rolled structural channels that bolt to the uniquely placed and angled pipe columns for support. The masonry walls also have internally mounted structural steel conforming to the architecturally designed space.
